I create rings in the UK scale. If you know your ring size in a different international scale, then view the conversion chart below, or view an online ring size conversion guide. If you do not know your ring size, then I have these suggestions:
Important: Only size a ring when your hands are warm/hot, as cool/cold fingers are significantly smaller than hot hands. Please take note to consider that my large carved rings are made with a thick shank. The “shank” is the band that goes around the finger and they feel different to thin shanks.
A: Go to a local jeweller and ask to size your finger(s) You will use a set of circular ‘keys’ to see which fits you best. Make a note of the international size you obtained and compare it via to either the chart below or via this online service: online ring size conversion guide.
B: If you cannot make it to a jewellery shop, you could use an inexpensive hose tightening clamp from a hardware or car parts shop (see image below). When your hands are warm, fit the hose clamp on your finger as you would a ring. Adjust as needed, allowing for the hose clamp to fit over your knuckles. Though the clamp will certainly not be as comfortable as a ring, you will have a reasonable fit. When you have this size – do not adjust it again. Post the hose clamp to me with your name, details and any notes. I will make the ring you order to the same size as the hose clamp you send.
